🍎🥕 2nd Grade PBL is Underway! 🥕🍎

Our 2nd grade Panthers have officially launched their Project Based Learning journey with an important driving question: “How can we learn about food and cooking to help those who don’t have enough to eat?” 💭❤️

Through hands-on STEAM learning, students will explore food, cooking, nutrition, and ways they can use what they learn to make a difference in their community. We can’t wait to see their ideas grow as they become problem-solvers with a purpose! 🌟

📊🔎 Data Detectives in Action! 🔎📊

Our 2nd Grade Panthers stepped into the shoes of real statisticians! From “What is your favorite car?” 🚗 to “What is your favorite ice cream?” 🍦, students created their own investigative questions and surveyed their classmates to collect real data.

Next, they transformed their findings into colorful bar graphs and pictographs before proudly presenting their results to the class. Their classmates even put their thinking skills to work by asking and answering data-supported questions based on each presentation!

Math + Investigation + Communication = STEAM learning in action! 💡📈

🧁🪨 A SWEET Way to Learn About Soil! 🌎🔬

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Partner in Education, Luck Stone, for donating their time, expertise, and materials to create an unforgettable hands-on experience for our 3rd grade Panthers!

Students received layered cupcakes designed to mimic the layers of soil and then used a special coring drill to “drill” into their cupcakes and examine the different layers—just like geologists explore what’s beneath the Earth’s surface! 🧁➡️🌎

This experience was the perfect blend of science, real-world learning, and a little something sweet as students continue exploring soil and geology through their Project Based Learning unit.

Our Maker Space is a place where Panthers can imagine, design, build, create, and explore—and behind this amazing space is our wonderful Campus Support Team! 💙💛

They work hard to keep the Maker Space organized, stocked, and welcoming, making sure students and teachers have a space that inspires hands-on learning and creativity.

We are so thankful for the team behind the scenes who helps make the magic happen! ✨ It takes a village to keep us !

⌨️💻 2nd Grade is Building Digital Skills! 🐾

Our 2nd grade Panthers are putting their fingers to work as they practice typing and keyboarding skills! From learning proper finger placement to building speed and accuracy, students are developing important technology skills they’ll use throughout their academic journey. 🌟

🔺🟦 Kindergarten PBL is Taking Shape! 🧊🔵

Our Kindergarten Panthers recently welcomed an expert visitor to help kick off their first-semester Project Based Learning unit! 🐾

Students participated in hands-on learning as they explored 2D and 3D shapes, discovering their attributes and how we see and use shapes in the world around us. 🔍🏠

We love bringing experts into our classrooms to help our youngest Panthers make real-world connections to what they are learning!

Big learning starts with little Panthers! 💙💛
