The Terrapin Expeditions for New and Transfer Students (T.E.N.T.S.) program assists students as they transition to the college experience. This adventure is designed exclusively for new UMD students and is a great way for students to build relationships with one another before the semester begins.

Spend the days exploring the great outdoors together with your peers and take time in the evening to relax around the campfire and create space to discuss your college transition.

This session, August 6-9, is specifically for Honors and Scholars incoming students! Don't delay!

Looking make meaningful connections before classes begin this fall! Consider joining a RENTS (Terrapin Expeditions for New & Transfer Students) adventure trips coming up in August!

This program is designed to help incoming students to the university find connections and community, build confidence through the outdoors, and have space to share about their experience with the transition to college.

It is a 4-day, 3-night backpacking program that we are offering twice to all incoming students, from 8/13-8/16 and 8/20-8/23.

Congratulations! Global Public Health Scholars alum and Neuroscience grad Kiyana N'Gouemo is heading to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism for an postbac before applying to !

During undergrad, Kiyana worked with Biology's Ricardo Araneda to study olfactory and social behavior paradigms.

Our final Scholars Summer Orientation session was the perfect debut for our new Executive Director Dr. Stickle Wendy Stickle from the great weather to great conversations with incoming students and their families. She even got her first Scholars Selfie!
