IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE ALS REFRESHER

Recently, the NREMT updated the National Core Competency Requirements (NCCR – ALS Refresher) for the first time since 2016. These affect ALS only. The new requirements officially go into effect on April 1, 2025. Here’s what this means for you:

ALS Clinicians who Expire 3/31/2025 – You MUST take the CURRENT ALS Refresher

ALS Clinicians who Expire 3/31/2026– You CANNOT take the current ALS Refresher. If you do, it will NOT count on the NREMT website when you go to do your recertification application. If you are someone who likes to do your refresher a year early, you CANNOT do that this year. MFRI will begin teaching the NEW ALS Refresher on April 1. If you are registered for an ALS Refresher before then, you need to unenroll from the class.
