Final reviews, Day 1! Students from ARCH400 and 408 present final projects to guest critics, faculty and peers. Students in placemaking studio designed works that bring the natural species of Mt. Ranier to life as a vehicle for education and connection. Dan Curry’s students conceived two rooms— one above grade and one below.

24 hours after Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a state of emergency after millions of gallons of raw sewage spewed into the Potomac River, Professors Marccus Hendricks and Rachel Goldstein from and returned to the site for a weekly water quality check, and to speak with media, including NPR.
