I provide private computer lessons in the privacy of your own home (or a nearby Starbucks if that will make you more comfortable!) to make learning easy and convenient. I work with both Apple Mac & Microsoft platforms.
Learning on your own computer provides a consistent and convenient learning environment. I will fully customize your private computer lessons, computer settings and software programs to match your specifics needs and aid with any disabilities.
I will bring flexibility into your schedule and your lesson plan. You can choose the frequency of your personal computer lessons as well as the issues you would like to focus on. Oh, and you don't have to be new to a computer to benefit from private computer lessons!
I am a twelve year veteran of the high-tech industry and I have a degree in Computer Application Systems. I specialize in working with seniors and retirees. It is never too late to learn the computer!!
I have many references available upon request, including the Auburn Senior Center where I teach a weekly class.

Frustrated with your computer because you have never really learned how to use it? Or have you decided that it finally time to learn about this wonderful tool which will open up a whole new world?

This is a class for the student with no or very little experience with computers. We will start at the beginning.

We will begin by examining the different parts of a computer, what part they play in and how they connect together. We will work on the two ways you talk to the computer: keyboard and mouse.

Next, we will explore the desktop and how to navigate around it. We will learn about windows and how to manage them. You will become familiar with basic computer terms and learn the basics of using a web browser.

Bring your laptop, but you don't have one, we have some loaners. Come join us!
