Congrats girls! 💙🏀🐾

Sharing a Post from the Colfax Page:

“Calling on all proud Colfax folks-

The Colfax Elementary Girls Basketball team has had quite the journey this season. Some of the girls have been on the team every year for the past three years (5th-8th grade); practicing, learning, growing and evolving. Despite their best efforts, they had yet to win a game. But they never gave up and they kept showing up, game after game, year after year. They kept practicing and kept pushing themselves until this year, it finally all came together and their hard work and determination paid off.

They won last week, their first win in three years, and they finally got to experience the thrill, reward and validation of winning.

Next Thursday is the last game of the season, and last game as a bulldog for our 8th grade girls.

We’re calling out to you, Colfax, to join us next Thursday at 3:45 at the Colfax Elementary gym. We want to show our girls that thier efforts have not gone unnoticed and win or lose, this town will always support them. As we send off some to high school next year, the remaining ladies deserve to keep the momentum and continue to build thier confidence.

Let’s fill our tiny gymnasium with our town and give our girls the proper ending to thier season.”

Ms. Beckwith’s 6th-grade class earned their ice cream party today for being the top fundraising class in the school for our Color Run! Congratulations, kids!

Even better, every dollar raised by our 5th and 6th graders goes directly toward their science camp tuition and bus fees. PTA is so proud of these students and grateful for everyone who helped make this fundraiser such a success!

Enjoy your well-deserved ice cream party, Bulldogs!
