Lady Bluebird Volleyball: Lady Bluebirds Continue Adding Wins in Tournament: Day 2 of the 2026 Kaysinger Conference Tournament took place October 8th in Cole Camp and another firm performance for the host team.
Cole Camp met Windsor at about 6 p.m. and still being pool play each team started with 4 on the scoreboard. The Ladybirds soon led 16-9 with Dakota Dieckman and Leah Allison adding kills. Windsor did make a couple very nice saves near their bench on balls that appeared unplayable. Rolling along at 21-14, Andrea Dieckman powered a shot over the net that caught a Lady Greyhound in the face. She stayed in the game, but once she looked in a mirror, she likely saw the imprint of the ball on her face! Cole Camp 25- 16 in the 1st set.
Second set not real close. Madilynn Ogle served 5 as part of a 10-5 lead. Aspen Meyer took over serving next and dealt in 9 in a row, the last of which an ace. With the score 20-7, Andrea nailed yet another kill and the Cole Camp PEP Club erupted! They were also holding up signs celebrating that being Andrea's 1,000th kill! Congratulations and keep adding to that total! Cole Camp took the 2nd set 25-8.
Next game on court at 6:40 included Cole Camp and Smithton. Very nice start for the Ladybirds as they moved ahead 13-7. Most plays in volleyball include a pass, set and a swing for a point. Sometimes though instincts and reactions take over when there is no time to plan. Cole Camp had one of those moments helping a rally stay alive for an eventual point. Later Ogle with a stretched out dig for point #24, and then a short set for Dakota to hammer home for a 25-18 win.
Riley Raetz served the first 4 of the 2nd set. Andrea and Olivia Vansel pounded the net for a 12-5 lead. Raetz, Allison, and Meyer were not permitting many Smithton kill attempts to reach the floor. Meyer served 5 midway for an 18-6 lead. Then Taylor Loganbill brought it home with the last 4 serves of a 25-9 victory.
Kills: Andrea 14, Dakota 8, Allison 8, Ogle 4, Vansel 4.
Digs: Ogle 11, Meyer 11, Raetz 8, Vansel 8, Andrea 7, Allison 6.
Assists: Ogle 32.
Blocks: Andrea 3, Dakota 3.
Next action for Cole Camp is 10a.m. Saturday. Come watch if more records are set and if the Lady Bluebirds can win the tournament!

Lady Bluebird Volleyball: 2026 Kaysinger Conference Volleyball Tournament Begins: October 7th at 5 p.m. the Cole Camp gym was host to the following teams listed from #1 through 10. Cole Camp, Stover, Sacred Heart, Smithton, Otterville, Green Ridge, LaMonte, Lincoln, Windsor and Northwest.
Cole Camp faced Otterville at 5:50 p.m. in pool play where each team started with 4 on the scoreboard. The Lady Eagles soon led 8-5, but that lead faded near mid-set. Score was tied at 11 when a Dakota Dieckman kill put Leah Allison up to serve. She completed 6 in a row. Madilynn Ogle one of her backflip kills and then she served the last 5 for a 25-13 win.
Second set was decided by a 7-2 run for Cole Camp early, then a 7-1 string late. A terrific team effort just past midway as the Cole Camp players were flying all over the court keeping the ball in play. When an official's whistle stopped play, the question was why? Well apparently a Bluebird had stepped over the center line under the net. Andrea Dieckman 4 kills and a block and a kill from Kristin Carl secured the last set 25-17.
After a rest while other teams played, Cole Camp was back at it with the Lincoln Lady Cardinals. Lincoln scored 2 quickly before a Taylor Loganbill dig stalled that effort. However Lincoln was still leading 17 - 15 well into the game. Cole Camp turned the corner with a 7-1 effort to lead 22-18. Lincoln countered with the next 3 so a 1 point game. Carl with a score and a couple failed returns from Lincoln help to secure a 25-22 win for the Blue crew.
Riley Raetz served 4 opening the 2nd set. Andrea stretched out her arms for back-to-back blocks of Molly Strozewski, a good volleyball player and even better softball gal. Several nice digs by Ogle helping build an 18-12 lead. Olivia Vansel powered home a couple points and Cole Camp won the final set 25-17.
Kills: Andrea 25, Dakota 12, Vansel 6.
Digs: Ogle 12, Loganbill 8, Raetz 6, Allison 6.
Assists: Ogle 45.
Blocks: Andrea 10.

We will hold vaccination clinics beginning this fall, and your child's school will let you know the specific dates.

Lady Bluebird Volleyball: Beautiful Day Outside and Inside at Cole Camp: October 5th was one of those almost perfect weather conditions day that mid-missourians usually dream about. Sunny blue skies, slight breeze, temps upper 70s and green grass under foot. All Blessings from Above!
So could the Lady Bluebirds add a finishing touch as they faced the Lady Gremlins on the volleyball court?
The Junior High game started at 5pm and well it was almost record breaker. You may recall Madilynn Ogle serving 19 in a row and Addy Russell made it to 22 recently. Have to get an early start to contend with those numbers. Avery Nelson gave it a shot as she started the game serving and stayed there for 21. Couple aces in the mix, but mostly failed return efforts by Sacred Heart. A failed return by the Cole Camp defense allow the Gremlins a point, but that was it as Cole Camp won 25-1.
Much different start to the 2nd set as the score was tied at 7 early. Oaklee Raetz then dealt out 8 in a row helped by kills from Jody Dixon and Presley Hoke. Cole Camp clinched the 2nd set 25- 16.
On to The Varsity match with Sacred Heart at 9-8 but missing their top starter due to injury.
Cole Camp scored 2 for each 1 for Sacred Heart early in the set. Leah Allison with a string of 5, helped by Aspen Meyer, Riley Raetz and Taylor Loganbill defensive efforts. Cole Camp up 15-5. Allison 2 great digs that led to scores by Olivia Vansel and Andrea Dieckman protected that margin as Cole Camp took the 1st set 25-15.
Think tall girls can't play defense? Andrea and Olivia both with very nice digs early 2nd set. Still the Lady Gremlins managed a 7-4 lead. Dakota Dieckman a couple kills midset but again Sacred Heart still led 14-11. Then the tide turned rather quickly. Madilynn Ogle served 5 helping Cole Camp regain a 17-14 lead. Couple points later, Jolee Espey with a very nice output of 2 kills and a defensive save. Andrea served the last 6 for a 25- 16 Bluebird win.
As she does quite often, Raetz started the 3rd set serving. Very nice net work as Andrea added 4 kills off sets by Ogle for an 11-5 lead. Allison a one-arm save midpoint and the Ladybirds kept driving ahead for a 25-16 victory in the final set!
Kills: Andrea 15, Dakota 6, Allison 5.
Digs: Raetz 10, Allison 9, Meyer 7, Ogle 6, Loganbill 4.
Assists: Ogle 27
Blocks: Andrea 3.
Two games for Cole Camp Wednesday October 7th as part of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament at Cole Camp. First game at 5:45, then 7:15. Two games also on Thursday starting at 5:45, then 6:30.
