As we come to the end of another week, we invite our LSA families and friends to gather with one of our three association congregations this weekend! Worship is a wonderful opportunity to pause, hear God’s Word, receive His gifts, and encourage one another in the faith.

We are blessed by the partnership of Trinity Lutheran Church, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and St. John’s Lutheran Church and encourage our families to make worship a priority together.

Come worship. Come hear the Gospel. Come be strengthened in Christ.

Here is an updated “Dates to Remember” sheet for this school year.

Please note that the dates for singing in December and March are now included, along with the congregations where the choirs will be singing.

Also, please note that the March PIE meeting will be held on March 16, not March 17 as listed on the school calendar.

We look forward to the many activities planned throughout the year that will help build community at LSA, strengthen our relationships with our supporting churches, and connect us with the broader community!

Learning history by doing it!

Our students have been learning about Native American cultures and exploring how different Native peoples used the resources around them to meet their needs, express creativity, and preserve traditions. As part of our learning, students created their own artifacts inspired by what we’ve studied.

It was great to see them turn what they’ve learned into hands-on creations while gaining a deeper appreciation for the rich and diverse cultures of Native Americans. These are the kinds of lessons that make history come alive!

Our Student Council kicked off their first meeting of the school year, and it was exciting to hear all of the wonderful ideas our students have for serving others and making a difference at LSA!

One of their first agenda items? Choosing a theme for Literacy Night!

Any guesses what theme they chose??

We can’t wait to see our student leaders put their ideas into action this year! They are “Rooted in Christ” and ready to serve.

Mrs. Melby does a wonderful job helping our kindergarten and first grade students explore, create, and learn through hands-on activities! From using Play-Doh to practice spelling their names to other creative learning experiences, these students are building important skills while having fun.

We are thankful for teachers like Mrs. Melby who make learning engaging and meaningful for our students!

Chapel at LSA

Wednesday chapel services at LSA are a beautiful reminder of the blessing of being Rooted in Christ.

Pastor Po**en normally plays the organ for our chapel service, but on Wednesdays when he leads chapel, we are blessed to hear from some of our own developing musicians! Abi, 8th grade at LSA, and Aaron, LSA high school student, play the organ for our service. It is wonderful to hear them use the gifts God has given them to help provide the music for chapel

Our 7th and 8th grade students also have the opportunity to serve during chapel by passing the offering plates and serving as acolytes. What a joy it is to see our students learning not only through the teaching of God's Word, but also through opportunities to serve at chapel.

Lutheran schools are dedicated and set apart for the faithful teaching and preaching of God's Word. We are so blessed at LSA to come together each Wednesday for the service of Matins, to hear God's Word, receive His gifts, and praise Him together as a school community.
