The BACC held a college fair for students today! This is a great opportunity for students to get a feel for what the different colleges specialize in and whether one is right for them!

Our business students wore business attire today and prepared questions for the reps to show their professionalism and thoughtfulness!

Since our students deal with heated apparel machinery, such as heat presses and engravers, it is a must that they know fire safety and what to do in the case of a fire!

The Coldwater Public Safety Police & Fire came to the BACC to train all the programs on how to use a fire extinguisher in case they encounter a fire. The Business and CNT programs went outside together to learn how to spray a fire extinguisher and now feel confident in their firefighting skills!

Thank you to Lt. Jackie Supianoski and Fire Marshal Steve Trall for teaching our students the importance of fire safety and how to use a fire extinguisher!

Last week, on Friday the 18th, was National Cheeseburger Day!

Since large fast food chains that serve burgers were advertising limited-time deals that day, we wanted to join in and practice our marketing and presentation skills by making our own promotions!

Students were tasked with creating flyers to market a burger of their choice that promotions to a specific target market. Afterwards, they presented their flyers to the class and explained their marketing and design decisions.

The students had lots of fun designing their flyers! They are very creative and skilled! No Generative AI was used. We banned the use of generative AI for creating media, such as designs, flyers, and graphics. Generative AI use in marketing should be regulated and not used as a default for creating content. Without generative AI, their creative side shines.

We are in the early stages of our Group Mogul projects! 💼

Yesterday, students were assigned to the groups they will be working with for the rest of the semester as they learn how to run and manage a business. They started off by getting to know each other, then they worked as a team to stack some cups to practice team collaboration and communication, and lastly, they wrote goals they wanted to achieve as a group throughout the semester.

With this amount of prep, they are sure to succeed and collect lots of money to donate to the charity of their choice! Stay tuned for more updates!
