Growing Haldane Haldane Sustainable Garden The garden is made possible thanks to generous grants from Hudson Highlands Land Trust and the Haldane School Foundation.

The PTA Garden Committee helps manage and maintain Haldane's school garden while providing support to teachers wishing to integrate the garden into their curriculum. The school garden functions as an 'outdoor classroom' where students learn hands-on about plant growth, water conservation, composting, and other environmental concepts. Math, Science, History, English, Art and Foreign Languages have all been taught in the garden - the opportunity for curricular crossover is endless! The Garden Committee also works closely with Haldane's Farm to School program and the school's Wellness Committee, providing fresh vegetables for Chefs in the Classroom and the school cafeteria whenever possible.
