Mr. Jake Masters and his ROCORI Carpentry students began construction this week on storage sheds purchased by members of our community. This hands-on project provides students with valuable real-world experience while allowing them to apply the skills and knowledge they have developed in the classroom.

We are grateful to the community members who have supported this opportunity and look forward to seeing the students’ hard work come together as they complete the sheds!

On October 6, our 8th grade Career Exploration students experienced Junior Achievement’s Dream Accelerator—a hands-on simulation that connects students’ skills, goals, careers, money management, and life after graduation.

We’re proud to be the first school in Minnesota to host this new JA experience! Students and staff agreed it was a huge success, and Term 2 Career Exploration students will get their turn in November.

Please join us in welcoming Emily Rustad, a new 1st Grade Teacher at Cold Spring Elementary! 🍎

This is Emily’s third year as a classroom teacher. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and loves teaching young learners. This year will be her first year teaching 1st grade, and we’re excited to have her at CSE!

When she’s not at school, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, relaxing at her family cabin, and crafting.

And a fun fact about Emily? She loves to shop!

Welcome to ROCORI, Emily! We’re so glad you’re here!
