Congratulations to Haldane senior, Ada Caccamise, whose poem To Lovely Psyche was published in the New York State of Poetry 2026 Anthology. Ada also had the honor of reading the poem aloud at an event held in Albany at the New York State Museum.

The High School Art Club, and advisor Alison Booth, visited The Met last week. While there, Haldane parent and Met Art Technician, Chad Lemke, treated them to a guided tour of the art storage area in the American Wing for a unique look behind the scenes.

Thank you to the Putnam County DA, the County Judge, and the Office of Prevention who joined our juniors and seniors this morning for a pre-prom assembly. Wishing everyone a safe and magical prom night!

Congratulation to Patrick D'Abruzzo who was recognized by the Haldane Board of Education and Putnam Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services last night as a Student of Distinction for displaying outstanding leadership skills, academic progress, and community spirit.

Our chicks brought a lot of cheer :)

In other exciting news, Mr. Wick's class has been anxiously waiting for their crested gecko eggs to hatch in the incubator, and this weekend, after about 90 days, the babies arrived!

And finally, a Luna Moth visited their classroom today! (thanks to Jeff and George for rescuing it from the parking lot!)

On Friday, May 29th, a group of 6th graders and Mr. Wick attended the Garrison Union Free School District Youth Climate Summit. Check out some of the activities, including environmental passion projects and workshops led by Haldane students!
