Thank you Saint Michael’s, Declan, Janel, Richard and all the CWDD related departments and personnel who helped make the VT EPSCoR CWDD experience so transformative for so many students!

Greetings. After very successfully running outreach programs for many years, the CWDD at Saint Michael's College is closing. I'd like to offer a big thank you to all of the contributors and collaborators over the years: professors, staff, interns, and especially our high school participants....you were the reason we did what we did. Finally, thank you Janel Roberge for always keeping the wheels on no matter what we tossed at you. Keep on standing up for Science!

Love data visualizations? Love Lake Champlain? We do, too! This time of year, we're wondering how snow melt is impacting Lake Champlain. Lucky for us, the National Weather Service (U.S. National Weather Service (NWS)) combines both these loves and allows us to monitor lake levels in real time! Student Spotlight: Meet Emily! Emily was an undergraduate intern who worked at the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory during her time with VT EPSCoR. While there, she realized that scientific research was not her thing (that's why you've got to try it, right?!) and actually went on to intern for the ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain. Fast forward: Emily is now the Assistant Director at the Museum of Geology at South Dakota Mines! She credits her experience with us for helping her realize her true calling. No matter what career paths our former participants follow, we are proud to have been a part of their journey!
