Colby Community College Physical Therapist Assistant Program

Educating the public is part of the physical therapy scope of practice! The CCC PTA students successfully provided two different symposiums; cardiopulmonary to our CCC students, faculty, and staff and neurological to our friends at the Senior Progress Center. They had multiple compliments on the quality of their presentations!

Spring Neuro pediatric lab was a special experience with two 8 month olds, a 4 month old, and a 14 month old! Our students had to check primitive reflexes, developmental milestones, and come up with interventions to progress to the next milestones. Thank you to all the moms who brought kiddos into lab!
If you have a kiddo who would love to participate with our students, please feel free to message me. We hold one pediatric lab in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.

All are invited to our third annual CCC PTA Neurological Symposium! Join us for an hour at the Senior Progress Center in Colby, KS. Listen and ask questions to the PTA students as they give presentations on various neurological pathologies such as post-polio syndrome, ALS, Parkinson's Disease, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury.
No registration is required.
Presentations start at 10:30am on Tuesday May 5th, 2026.

The CCC PTA Program has had a busy month of April! One of our favorite events is walking for Parkinson's Disease awareness with the Parkinson's Families of NW KS!

It's the annual CCC PTA Pickleball Classic...or just an hour of physical activity before Cardiopulmonary Rehab class! The students select pickleball specific dynamic warm up activities then enjoy the rest of the hour in the Colby Community College Tennis Center. What a fabulous facility to have right on campus!
