The Sunflower Standard and Colby Community College extend our congratulations to all graduating seniors celebrating this milestone weekend.

A special salute goes out to the members of the Class of 2026 who have chosen to continue their academic and athletic journeys as future Trojans. We wish each of you the very best as you begin this exciting new chapter.

Yesterday, students enrolled in the Small Business Management course taught by Sami Talsma held their Small Business Trade Show, showcasing their business ideas. They have each created a complete business plan, and some even have operational businesses.

The trade show was open to the public in Bedker Memorial Complex from 11-noon on April 28. Attendees of the trade show voted for their favorite business idea. This year's winner is Chiara Binda with her business, Panettone Studio. "Panettone Studio is a company that makes artisanal Italian panettone using traditional slow fermentation and quality ingredients. The company provides traditional and contemporary flavors with sophisticated packaging, which can be purchased online and through traditional business orders."

Another student, Blanca Gallegos stated, "The tradeshow was very successful. Very fun opportunity to display our business ideas and practice our business pitch."

Tracy Rogers to Receive Honorary Degree Colby Community College will confer the 2026 Honorary Associate Degree on Tracy Rogers during commencement on May 15 at the Colby Event Center.
