SAVE THE DATES!
I am over-the-top excited about the upcoming dyslexia simulation event that Heartland Christian School has agreed to host! Please plan to join us on Thursday evening, November 5th, from 6-8:30 and/or Friday morning, November 6th, from 9-11:30!

Our guest speaker will be Jill Hodge of Phillips Fundamental Learning Center. She will lead attendees through simulations that help them understand what it's like to be dyslexic, dysgraphic, have ADHD, or have other neurodiversity. Jill is a retired educator, Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP), and the Director of Early Learning and Engagement at PFLC. She is also Vice-President of the Andover (USD 385) School Board.

This presentation will provide information to parents, students, educators, and administrators regarding dyslexia and other neurodiversity. Parents, area schools, church groups, and homeschool groups are welcome. The public is invited to attend.

*In-service credit may be provided for area school districts.*

We have carpet squares and glue ready for the new music room! We have light bulbs to brighten up classrooms! We have paint for the parking lot to help everyone know where to park! We have cleaning spray, dusting spray, brooms & vacuums all ready to make things S**c & Span!

Saturday, Aug. 29th, 9:00 AM -12:00 PM

These workdays are essential for keeping our school in top shape for our Crusaders. We rely on volunteers and families to ensure our facilities are well cared for. Thanks in advance for your time and dedication to our school!

Mrs. Fromholtz returned to HCS today as our guest Chapel speaker. She shared a little bit about the ministry work she shares with her husband through Samaritan's Purse. Thank you, Abi, for sharing with all of us. We miss you!

Please submit all required paperwork and fees to the office to officially enroll your child for the upcoming year. Your child is NOT officially included on the roster until everything has been submitted.

If you are unsure of your child's status, please call Mrs. Bandy in the school office at 785-460-6419 as soon as possible so that she can finalize the roster.
