So many fun motivators for reading! Aside from the experience of reading which is motivating in itself. My recs: “Wombat in Waiting” (Katherine Applegate’s newest book of prose) “The Fort” (Gordon Korman) and the Millicent Quibb series by crazy Kate McKinnon.

We have dozens of her books and while the “How Do Dinosaurs..” series is the most widely read, “Encounter” is one of her most profound. 🫶🏼

The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and the children’s book world, is saddened by the news that author, mentor and friend, Jane Yolen, has died. She was 87 and her loss cannot be measured.
