I have debated sharing this story for a day or two, but decided to go ahead. Eric Nelson informed me that Brent was the anonymous donor who offered to cover the golfing for those who were on the fence/ or those who couldn't afford it. Like those of us on the committee, he wanted to get more people to be able to show up and have fun. His offer to pay ended with the statement that it needed to stay anonymous because he didn't want anyone to feel they had to thank him.

UPDATE:
If you have a thoughtful story or memory of Brent that you’d like me to share with his family, please consider sending it. I’ve already received many kind messages and anecdotes, and I’m gathering them to pass along.
Feel free to share in the comments or send privately by email (listed below).

Classmates,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that our classmate Brent Bourne passed away earlier this morning of an apparent heart attack.
Many of us were just together with Brent at our reunion a few weeks ago. That gathering feels even more meaningful now.
Please keep his wife Judy and daughter Elizabeth in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Arrangement details to follow.
Rest in Peace, Brent.

Because there’s addresses and phone numbers and such in the memory book, we’ve opted to only send it out to email addresses of classmates and not post it online. The memory book was sent out about 10 minutes ago or so. Check your email tonight and if you did not receive, send us an email at [email protected]. Please be sure and include your first, maiden and last name in the email. This way we can update our records and make sure that you’re on all future mailing .
Thank you everybody who was involved and keep connected as we may be seeing you a lot sooner than 10 years from now.
Also, if there’s a better email address than the one you received this book at, email us as well so we can update your information

Hello everyone and thank you for attending the reunion and making it so successful/memorable. We had several great comments/ideas going forward and wanted to start now on the one mentioned the most. Everyone asked about classmates who had passed and why we didn't have anything listing them. Here is the reason why we didn't. We did at the 10 year and I received an email from a daughter quite upset that her mother wasn't listed. It was not intentional, we just had no idea. We do have a list, but do not know how accurate it is therefore didn't post/display anything to prevent that again.

Here is where you all come in.

WE NEED OUR CLASSMATES HELP!!

If you know or think you know of a classmate that has passed please email the name (maiden, married, etc) and I will research for confirmation.

[email protected]

Thank you for the help!

When we first announced the reunion on Facebook, Eric Nelson sent a message asking who was in charge of the golf scramble. My instant reply? "You are!"

Huge thanks to Eric for stepping up to organize it! Between his hard work, Dave Odenthal’s generous swag donations, prizes from the Jacquot family, and an anonymous donor who chipped in for entry fees, it turned out to be an amazing event.

A huge thank you to everyone who made our reunion so incredibly amazing!

Over the next few days, I’ll be working on sending out the digital memory book. Please note that the committee decided to email the book rather than post it to Facebook, as it contains personal addresses and phone numbers.

If you didn't register for the reunion or aren't sure if we have your current email, please drop us a line at [email protected] so we can make sure you're on the list.

I’ll post another update here once the memory book has been sent. If you don't receive it after that post, just reach out and we'll make sure it gets to you!
