This page is for women interested in learning more about the outdoors, hunting, archery, and fi****ms. I will post information about classes, clinics and opportunities that North Idaho Ladies may find interetsing. This page started out as an extension of the Annual Women's Outdoor Clinic hosted by Idaho Department of Fish and Game, but is not affiliated with Idaho Department Fish and Game. For those interested in attending the IDFG Womens Outdoor Clinic please fillow this page and the Panhandle Idaho Department of Fish and Game Page for updates. No prior experience is necessary for attending the Women's Outdoor Clinic. During the clinic there will be expert hands on instruction provided by local women hunter and bow hunter education instructors. Topics will include firearm safety, outdoor preparation and survival, shooting, map and compass, archery, and game care (field dressing a big game animal).

Registration for Summer BOW Aug 18-20, 2023 opens Wednesday June 14th at 7:00pm MST.

This is the initial application for registration and FWP will be in touch with the first 60 people to sign up with an offer to complete their registration.

Want to get further away from the rest of the hunters and anglers?

Want to break free from crowded campgrounds and carry everything you need to survive in the backcountry? Idaho Trails Association is teaching the basics of backpacking both online and in person this spring. And it is totally free to participate! Whether you are an experienced backpacker or just starting out, you will learn something new! Participants will learn the general differences in backpacks, what to carry for an overnight up to a week-long trip, how to pack a backpack, tips for making loads lighter, best backpacking gear, and lessons learned by experienced ITA backpackers.
