North Idaho Family Magazine To Promote healthy families and life long learning in the communities of North Idaho We are not an advertising agency, but rather a project based resource.

Provide a vehicle and forum to enhance non-profit organization communication;

a) To reduce duplication of services, events and promotion costs

The North Idaho Charitable Events calancar (NICE) is a free service to anyone hosting a charitable event to post

Service Directory listing for non profit services by category in the magazine and on the website

NonProfitOrgs "At a Glance" column in the NI Family Magazine and NI Family WebSite featuring regular updates of activities in the industry

b) Community Outreach - North Idaho Family magazine reaches targeted individuals needing services better than any other media

c) Service Directory - the most current and comprehensive list of information for updated referrals and community education for agencies and the general population

d) The other services we provide include a clearing house for communications and marketing, the wide variety of freelancers and subcontractors available can serve any non-profit communication need. We also intend to have our second Fundraising Forum, date and overview TBA

COMMUNITY NOTICE

Due to the ongoing wildfires in the Spokane area, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe is opening the Rose Creek Longhouse to anyone who has been displaced or needs a safe place to stay.

If you or someone you know has been affected by the fires and needs temporary shelter, the Longhouse is available.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with family, friends, and anyone who may need assistance during this time.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the wildfires, and we hope all those affected stay safe.

Here is August's schedule for fitness programs!

Yoga for You! (Ages 18+) - Mondays & Fridays (9:30 am)

Join us for this Yoga program for adults. This blend of stretching, strengthening and balance work, along with relaxation, may be just what you’re looking for. Come enjoy the many benefits of this ancient practice! Your instructor, Gerry Bryak, will adapt poses to your needs so this yoga is truly for YOU! All levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced. Please bring a mat to class.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong (Ages 18+) - Mind Body Movement- Tuesdays (9:30 am)

Improve strength, balance, coordination, focus, breathwork and relaxation, all while exploring different movements from Tai Chi and Qi Gong styles. All movements can be done within your own comfort zone and mobility level. No special equipment or clothing needed, wear what is comfortable for you. Avoid wearing flip flops or slides. Chairs will be available for those that need to sit or use for extra balance. This program is for anyone at any age and any ability level. Your instructor Christine brings over 25 years of experience in teaching and sharing Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Find us in the Community Room.

Stronger in Body & Mind (Ages 16+) – Wednesdays, August 5, 12, & 19 (9:30 am)

Low-impact fitness & strength training class for all levels of strength. Feel stronger, fitter, refreshed and more focused! Jeannette, a trainer with over a decade of experience, will guide you to work at your own personal level, with modifications as needed. Whole body workout, using dumbbells, body weights, and simple resistance training.

*It is recommended to please bring a pair of light weights/dumbbells, a mat and a bottle of water! Find us in the Community Room.
