I’ve been moving gingerly since having two foot surgeries in the last few weeks. Glad that’s over. It turned out to be arthritis. 🦶
I usually never stop moving...but I have to say I’m enjoying a little down time. Reading and Sleeping and Enjoying a bit of writing. I’m on retreat in my home 🏡 and Loving It!

I’m writing and reading in bed today...on a sunny day - which is crushing me. I’m an everyday energetic person but with two bandaged feet I can’t stand for long. I’m trying to be patient...errrr....but I’ll admit I’m going crazy. Then I realize there are many who are ill and live this way. So I’m going to feel compassionate instead and send love to all who struggled each and every day. You guys are my hero’s!

I’m loving this sunny glorious day! Tomorrow I’m having my second foot surgery. And in a few months I’ll have Very Happy Feet! Bye Bye Bunions. If you are suffering with achy feet take action. Don’t be scared the surgery isn’t that bad! You walk out - well with goofy shoes - but that’s to protect the foot. Wouldn’t it be nice to stop grimacing and pushing through the pain. I’m so glad I’ve done this. My right foot is feeling really good- I did that foot on Feb 12th. ❤️

It’s a sunny snowy day so what goes with that...a cup of hot coffee and a pretty view. I’m looking out over Coeur d Alene Lake and watching my neighbors walking by while I am inside nursing my recent foot surgery. It’s a great time to contemplate life and my next moves. Enjoy your Saturday!!!

Quiet Mind Open Heart ~ Teachings of Ram Dass Part 1: There is a line from Aeschylus saying ...”In our sleep Pain which we cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until in our own despair against our will comes wisdom through the awful grace of God...The Awful Grace... To even sense that suffering has a function that when one understands that you are a spiritual entity that has taken birth, and that your curriculum on Earth is to Awaken out of the illusion of your own separateness to recognize who you really are behind who you appear to be. Then you see that the stuff of life is the curriculum; it’s the stuff that is offered to you through which you can get free.
~. Now what is changed is that you can see from the earlier model was originally “I was always trying to get high.” Now I understood that I wanted to be free not high, because it the mystic literature it says there is nowhere to stand. And the interesting question is “is it possible to keep your heart open in hell? Is there some way that you can become compassionate such that you don’t lose your joy and yet you can keep your heart open. That’s the art form. That’s the balancing between these planes. That’s the being in the world But not of the world. That is the seeing that it’s all perfect including the suffering, including your hearts pain about the suffering, including your yearning as an individual to do what you can to Relieve the suffering even though you understand the suffering is what the suffering is. But that the perfection of it includes your human heart… It doesn’t deny your humanity.
