☕ LIVE Coffee Chat This Morning!
Have you ever wondered why your body seems to respond differently after 40?

Maybe you've noticed:
✨ Brain fog and forgetfulness
✨ Increased belly fat
✨ Low energy and fatigue
✨ More cravings than you used to have
✨ Difficulty losing weight despite eating healthy

In today's coffee chat, we're connecting the dots between estrogen decline, insulin resistance, fatty liver, chronic stress, and the symptoms so many women experience during perimenopause and menopause.

✨ What Happened When These Women Stopped Starting Over… ✨

A few women recently got brave, said yes to themselves, trusted me, trusted the process, and decided they were ready for something different.

Nope, Not another diet.
Not another quick fix.
Not another Monday restart.

A decision to make acommitment to their health.

💚 One client is down 10+ pounds in her first month and feeling more energized, confident, and vibrant.

💚 Another is just 4 pounds away from her goal weight after staying consistent and trusting the process.

💚 Another recently shared that she went on vacation for 5 days, gained a few pounds, but within days of returning home had nearly all of it back off. Why? Because she didn’t quit. She simply returned to the habits that got her there in the first place.

💚 Another is down 60 pounds of fat, up 8 pounds of muscle, and shared something powerful:

“I’m learning that as my body gets healthier, the weight releases.”

What these women have in common isn’t perfection.

They’ve had vacations.
Busy schedules.
Family commitments.
Grandchildren visiting.
Setbacks.

But they didn’t quit.

They trusted me, trusted the process, and most importantly, they did the work.

They kept showing up.

The truth is, most women don’t need more information.

They need guidance, accountability, support, and a proven plan they can follow consistently.

🤔 What’s one area of your health where you’re tired of starting over?

If this sounds like your story, or you’re ready to finally stop doing it alone, send me a message. 💚

💋 As estrogen declines, we naturally lose muscle, bone density, power, and recovery capacity.

Our mitochondria, the energy factories inside our cells, become less efficient, and the proteins in our muscles that help generate strength and power (actin and myosin) don't work as effectively as they once did.

This is one reason many women notice they feel weaker, tire more easily, recover more slowly, and gain weight more easily than they did in their younger years.

The good news?
We can support many estrogen-dependent processes through movement.

🏋️‍♀️ Strength training helps preserve muscle, support metabolism, strengthen bones, improve balance, and reduce injury risk.

🚶‍♀️ Zone 2 cardio (think brisk walking, hiking, or cycling) helps support mitochondrial health, endurance, heart health, and longevity.

🔥 A little HIIT can help maintain fitness, power, and cardiovascular health.

⚡ Power training is also important as we age. Power is our ability to generate force quickly. It's what helps us catch ourselves when we trip, get up off the floor, climb stairs, lift a grandchild, or react quickly to prevent a fall.

Simple movements like step-ups, sit-to-stands, kettlebell swings, or standing up with intention can help maintain this important skill.

But don't get too caught up in all the details.

The people in the Blue Zones, who live over 100 with a good quality of life, aren't obsessing over the perfect workout. They simply move their bodies consistently, stay active throughout life, preserve muscle mass, and maintain the ability to perform everyday activities well into their later years.

Find something that makes you look forward to doing it.
Walk. Lift weights. Garden. Hike. Dance. Play pickleball.

Just keep moving.

The goal is to stay strong, capable, independent, and active for decades to come. ❤️

👉🏻 What is one activity you hope to still be doing 20 years from now?

💖 If you're a woman over 40 who feels like you're doing everything right but your body isn't responding the way it used to, send me a message. I'd be happy to hear your story and see if I can help.

One of my clients came to me feeling frustrated because her body wasn't responding the way she expected. She had even tried weight loss medications for a while, hoping they would be the answer, but she wasn't seeing the results she expected.

Together, we focused on liver support, a personalized fasting schedule, adjusting her workouts, and creating a healthy balance that still allowed her to enjoy life, time with friends and family, and special occasions.

The exciting part isn't just that the weight is finally moving, and moving significantly. It's that she's beginning to understand her body and unravel the confusing signals it had been giving her for years.

She's learning what works for her, what has been holding her back, and how to work with her body rather than fighting it. She's feeling accomplished because she finally has answers and can see the results of putting those answers into action.

That's where lasting change begins.

You might be surprised to hear that I experience this too.

There are times when I feel like I gained weight overnight. I'll look in the mirror, catch a glimpse of myself in a store window, or see a photo and think, “What happened?"

My face looks fuller. My clothes feel tighter. Sometimes even a jacket feels snug under my arms, and I find myself feeling confused and frustrated because it seems to happen so quickly.

The frustrating part is that I'm usually doing all the things. I'm eating well, exercising, fasting, and taking care of myself. So naturally, my mind starts trying to figure it out.

What did I eat? What am I doing wrong? What do I need to change?

For a long time, I assumed the answer was to work harder. Exercise more. Push more. Be more disciplined.

But over the years, I've learned that sometimes the problem isn't that we're doing too little. Sometimes we're doing too much.

I've had seasons where my body wasn't asking for more effort; it was asking for more recovery, more rest, less inflammation, Less stress, and more support.

As I prayed and asked God for wisdom, I began to realize that my body wasn't working against me. It was communicating with me.

One day, I remembered something my friend and hairdresser told me years ago. She said, “Instead of fighting the way your hair wants to part today, work with it. Go with its natural flow."

That simple advice has stayed with me.

Maybe our bodies are the same way.

Maybe instead of fighting them, criticizing them, and getting frustrated with them, we can learn to listen. To support them. To work with them instead of against them.

I've found that when I do, my body usually responds much better.

Less fighting. More listening.

Less punishment. More partnership.

💬 What's been your biggest frustration lately: weight that won't budge, low energy, inflammation, cravings, or something else?

If you’re a woman over 40 struggling with weight loss, I want you to hear this clearly:

Your body isn’t broken.
It’s adapting.

And the approach that used to work in your 20s and 30s often no longer works the same way in midlife, not because you’ve failed, but because your physiology has shifted.

Here are a few of the most common things I see with my clients:
1. Stress load is higher than your body can easily recover from
Busy life, poor sleep, emotional stress, and constant “doing” can keep your system in a more protective state, making weight loss feel harder.

2. Muscle naturally declines if it isn’t maintained
And less muscle means your metabolism doesn’t respond the same way it used to.

3. Blood sugar becomes less stable
This can show up as cravings, energy crashes, and stubborn fat that doesn’t seem to move.

4. Inflammation is higher than most women realize
This can look like fatigue, puffiness, bloating, and slower progress—even when you’re eating “clean.”

And something I’ve been hearing more often lately…
Some women tell me they’ve even tried weight loss medications and still felt like their body didn’t respond the way they expected.

Others don’t want to rely on medication at all, but still feel stuck.

Either way, the same truth keeps showing up:

It’s not that your body is the problem.
It’s that the approach needs to change.

What usually works better in this season of life is:
~Supporting your body instead of fighting it.
~Prioritizing consistency over intensity
~Building strength (not just eating less)
~Stabilizing energy and blood sugar
~Lowering overall stress on the system
~Clear the liver of toxins so it can work optimally to mobilize fat

When these pieces come into alignment, I’ve seen women start to feel real shifts again, not through extremes, but by finally working with their bodies instead of against them.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

💬 What’s been the biggest frustration for you right now—energy, cravings, or weight not budging?

🌿 OK, I think I’ve found my latest obsession!

I’m excited to personally test NMN (which helps support NAD+) over the next 30 days and see what it can do for energy, healthy aging, and longevity.

As we get older, our cells naturally become less efficient. After decades of stress, environmental exposures, physical wear and tear, and the ups and downs of life, it’s no wonder many of us begin to notice lower energy, brain fog, slower metabolism, and that feeling that our bodies just don’t respond the way they used to.

That’s why I’m always looking for ways to support my body at the cellular level.

NMN is a compound derived from vitamin B3 that helps the body produce NAD+, a molecule essential for cellular energy and mitochondrial function.

Since NAD+ levels naturally decline with age, researchers are exploring its potential role in supporting vitality, brain health, cellular repair, and healthy aging from the inside out.

Of course, supplements are only one piece of the puzzle. My foundation will always be:

☀️ Daily sunlight and time in nature
🌱 Bare feet on the grass
⏰ Daily fasting
🧘 Meditation and stress reduction
💧 Plenty of water
🥗 Whole foods
💚 Supporting liver and lymphatic health
😴 Quality sleep
🐟 Omega-3s and magnesium

But this is one of the most exciting areas of longevity research I’ve come across, and I’m excited to see how I feel over the next 30 days.

✨ Here’s to aging well, feeling vibrant, and giving our cells the support they deserve!

Have you heard of NMN or NAD+? Or have you tried it yourself? I’d love to hear your experience! 👇
