What a way to celebrate!! Thank you again to our generous community!

What a FUN way to wrap up our 2026 Read-A-Thon! 💙💛

Today we celebrated our TOP READERS and TOP EARNERS at our Read-A-Thon assembly, handed out prizes, watched students spend their hard-earned PTK Bucks at the prize store, and of course… Mrs. Lewis got SILLY STRINGED! 😂🎉

And since donations were still trickling in, we have one FINAL number to share…

💰 $47,057.26!!! 🤯👏

We set a goal of $35,000, and our Livy community absolutely CRUSHED IT!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible students, families, teachers, volunteers, and generous sponsors who made this possible. Every dollar raised goes right back into supporting our Livingston students and school!

Small readers. BIG impact. 📖⭐️

🔥🚒 Fire Safety Week! 🚒🔥

Our kiddos got an exciting hands-on learning experience today as they explored a smokehouse simulator and learned important lessons about fire safety and prevention! 🧯👩‍🚒 These experiences help our students understand how to stay safe and what to do in an emergency.

A HUGE thank you to Park County Fire Protection for taking the time to teach our students these valuable life-saving skills! ❤️ We appreciate all you do to keep our community safe!

🚦 NEW PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL COMING TO BIG HORN AVENUE! 🚦

A new Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (HAWK signal) is coming soon to Cody’s Big Horn Avenue near Cody Middle School! This new signal is designed to help students, families, and other pedestrians safely cross the roadway. 💛

We want to make sure our Livingston families understand how the new signal works—especially those who walk, bike, or drive through this area.

🚶‍♀️ FOR PEDESTRIANS

1️⃣ Push the button to activate the signal.
2️⃣ STOP & WAIT for the WALK signal.
3️⃣ START CROSSING when the WALK signal appears—and always watch for cars.
4️⃣ FINISH CROSSING when the countdown begins.

🚗 FOR DRIVERS

⚫ DARK: Proceed with caution and watch carefully for pedestrians.

🟡 FLASHING YELLOW: Slow down. A pedestrian has activated the signal.

🟡 SOLID YELLOW: Prepare to stop.

🔴 SOLID RED: STOP for pedestrians.

🔴 FLASHING RED: Stop first, then proceed with caution only if the crosswalk is clear.

👉 The most important thing to remember: When the two red lights are solid, drivers MUST STOP for pedestrians. Once the lights begin flashing red, drivers must stop first and may proceed only when the crosswalk is clear.

Please take a few minutes to talk with your children about how the new signal works, especially if they will be walking or biking in this area. A little preparation can help everyone navigate the new crossing safely! 💛

Slow down. Stay alert. Watch for pedestrians. Let's keep our kids safe!
