Little Explorers Preschool

Little Explorers Preschool Our cooperative program centers on providing an intentional play-based education. We use “The Creative Curriculum” developed by Diane Trister Dodge.

The curriculum is structured around a few well-defined routines and adheres to the philosophy that young children learn through play and exploration. The classroom is equipped with a variety of learning centers, including art, unit blocks, sand and water areas, table toys, dramatic play, and language and literacy. Our intention is to provides an environment conducive to learning by discovery. The

daily schedule includes group time, learning center time, snack and outdoor/gross motor play times. We aim to help our students gain positive social skills by helping each child be resourceful and able to work and play well with other children. We encourage students to be joyful, active learners who become confident and ethical citizens.

Reach Out and Read, a national nonprofit, serves more than 4.8 million children a year across the U.S. We use guidance from clinicians about shared reading and healthy early relationships to empower children, families, and communities.
