Dear Coconut Creek Academy Parents and future enrollments:
As you know, we are facing an unprecedented public health crisis in our state. We are concern about Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-2019).
We are trying to do our part in the community, keeping our schools open for as long as possible, as recommended by Child Care Licensing and local public health authorities.
The safety and well-being of our children, families, and staff is our top priority and knowing that in addition to education, schools provide vital support to our communities and that closure will have a major impact on our families. For a lot of families, daycare closures mean that there is a risk that parents will lose income, which of course then affects the well-being of our families.
Coconut Creek Academy has not received a directive from a government agency to close, so the decision was left to our discretion. The center is running normally with an eye towards hygiene — making sure doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, computers, phones, sinks, toilets, countertops, and other frequently touched objects receive proper cleaning and disinfecting.
We will provide the regular operational services, only those students that are “Part-time VPK” will not have regular classes until further notice.
Thank you for the support of our families, parents, and teachers. I hope everyone continues to take the right safety measures and stay healthy.
Sincerely,
Maria Gabriela D’Angelo
