Although many of us think of kindergarten as early childhood education, the reality is that this process should begin much sooner. Studies have shown that children, who attend a high-quality preschool, will excel in the primary first years of formal learning.

Little moments like this matter more than people realize. 💛 Watching this little one at 2 years old , I am reminded of the importance of independence!
Independence doesn’t start when children are older, it starts now, in the small, everyday tasks. Giving even our youngest learners the space and time to try, practice, and accomplish things on their own helps build confidence, responsibility, and pride in what they can do.
At Britt Children’s Academy, we intentionally create opportunities for our children to grow in independence at their own age level. Whether it’s putting on a crib sheet, cleaning up, or completing simple routines, these moments are the foundation for lifelong skills.
They are capable. We just have to give them the chance. ✨

As an entrepreneur, Mom-Ager, wife and all the other roles I occupy, it’s fair to say that time is in short supply. Over the past seven or so months, I have had the pleasure of participating in the City of Cocoa Citizens Academy.
Regular every day citizens and business owners come together to get a behind the scenes crash course about the many different offices and agencies that make up the government of this city and how all the pieces fit together!
To say this was time well spent, is a total understatement. The thing that stood out to me during every session and visit to the different facilities etc. is the pride that many of the employees have for their beloved ‘Chocolate City,’ a term Mayor Mike Blake is fond of using!🤭
Suffice it to say I am glad I invested the time to learn about the city that hosts my business and I encourage each of you to participate in the next cohort! One of my life philosophies is that ‘it is always beneficial to learn the things that you didn’t know you didn’t know.’ IYKYK🤭😊💕
