Earlier this week we shared about the Sales Surtax.

The second measure on November's ballot is the ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ ๐ž โ€” a property tax renewal that funds the teachers, programs, and technology that make learning happen every day in Brevard County classrooms.

Millage is the small portion of property taxes that stays right here in Brevard County, locally approved by voters to directly support Brevard Public Schools. Every dollar collected goes to the people and programs inside our schools.

Millage funds three things: ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐ž๐ž ๐ฉ๐š๐ฒ, ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ.

Today was an extra-special first day at Atlantis as we officially welcomed our newest Rocketsโ€ฆ our kindergarteners! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš€

Our littlest Rockets arrived โ€œred-carpetโ€ style, making their way through a receiving line filled with cheers and encouragement from SCHS football players and cheerleaders, Coach Dom, SRO Darville, Principal Back, and AP Copeland! ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐Ÿˆโœจ

Families had the perfect opportunity to capture those priceless first-day-of-kindergarten photos along the way! ๐Ÿ“ธ

After walking their kindergarteners to class, families gathered in the cafeteria for our annual BooHoo/Yahoo Breakfast, hosted by our fabulous PTO! Whether there were a few tears or lots of cheers, it was the perfect way to celebrate this big milestone. ๐Ÿฅน๐ŸŽ‰

A special thank you to Port Java for generously donating the coffee to keep our families fueled! โ˜•๐Ÿ’™
