🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT — I-88 EXIT NUMBER CHANGES 🚨
Attention Unadilla and I-88 travelers!
Drivers traveling along Interstate 88 in New York should be aware that exit numbers are changing.
The exit numbers along I-88 are being updated to correspond with the mile marker numbers on the interstate. This means the exit number you have used for years may soon be different.
đź“Ť Here in Unadilla:
➡️ Former Exit 11 → New Exit 40
➡️ Former Exit 10 → New Exit 37
These changes are being made throughout I-88, so all exit numbers along the interstate will be updated to correspond with their approximate mile-marker locations.
⚠️ Why is this important?
Emergency responders, 911 dispatchers, law enforcement, highway crews, GPS/navigation systems, and motorists all rely on exit numbers to quickly identify locations.
For a period of time, you may hear someone refer to an exit by its old number while another person uses the new number. Please be patient and make sure you know both during the transition.
📱 Tip for motorists:
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new I-88 exit numbers and update your GPS/navigation information when necessary.
