After receiving over 125 applications for our Paramedic Certificate and AAS programs this year, by this time tomorrow, we should have FORTY-FIVE paramedic students filling our classroom! College Student Bunk-in Program at Delmar-Bethlehem EMS (DBEMS) -- Rent Free Housing and a Unique College Experience for EMTs

The Delmar-Bethlehem EMS bunk-in program has one slot immediately available for the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 academic year.
The bunk-in program provides rent free housing to qualifying college students in exchange for being an active and responding ambulance crew member. The program is available to college and paramedic students living in the Capital region who are EMT certified and ready for duty.

Training Opportunity: Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting (ARFF)

The New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC) will be offering an Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting (ARFF) course at South Queensbury Fire Department this October.

This 12-hour course is designed for fire service personnel and covers:
• Airport & aircraft familiarization
• Specialized firefighting agents (foam & dry chemical)
• Aircraft rescue operations & extrication
• Forcible entry & ventilation
• Civilian & military aircraft incidents

Course Information:

📅 October 1, 8 & 17, 2026
🕡 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
📍 South Queensbury Fire Department, Queensbury, NY

Prerequisites:
• Firefighter I (or equivalent)
• Completed Training Authorization Letter (TAL)

Registration is available through the NYS DHSES Training Portal. Departments and personnel interested in attending should register before the course begins, as space is limited.
