Interested in Mushrooms? SEEDS Club will be hosting a workshop on Mushroom cultivation.
The Mariaville Mushroom Man will be talking on the nutritional and medicinal benefits of mushrooms, how to cultivate mushrooms and more.
There will be a bag growing demonstration as well as a hands on aspect!

Interested in making a lasting impact? Want to help make the world a more sustainable place, and have an interest in plants and agriculture?

The SEEDS club is designing an agroforestry plot to plant at the Coby Farm next spring. This is a mighty endeavor and one that will be most rewarding. We would like to expand our team and invite passionate students to help us design this masterpiece.

Want to make easy cash each week?

Students who qualify for work study can help out the Feed the Worms composting project.
Three days a week, an hour each day at 3 pm, you will pick up the compost from the dining halls on a brand new gator.

The job is so easy and so rewarding.

Part Time Job Opportunity:

CAS will be needing outgoing students to help with transitioning our students to our new compost and garbage disposal systems at the dining halls.

The job will last for the 1st-2nd week of classes.
The job entails guiding students on composting correctly during busy lunch hours.

Hello Fellow Cobleskill Students,

Recycling is a duty we must all be responsible for. The simple act of recycling means you are looking out for your fellow humans, among other species that inhabit this planet. Thank you to those who recycling here on campus and at home.

Would you be offended if the recyclables were thrown out with the trash? This is unfortunately what is happening. Please if you want to help me make sure recyclables are not just thrown out please comment "I support recycling."

Together we can make sure it gets done!

Hey folks, it's not too late to submit to our first Up-Cycling Competition. We've extended the deadline due to very few submissions. You know what that means?! You have a GREAT chance at winning a $50 prize by one of our three local sponsors. Get creative, the possibilities are endless! Bring your re-purposed material to Adam Wild's office with a typed list including your name and the materials you used.

When something breaks people often just throw it away and buy a new one without thinking of where it will end up. Instead of throwing things out right away, ask yourself - "Is it possible for you or someone you know to fix it?"
This way you are not only cutting down on unnecessary waste but you're also breaking away from the consumerism feedback loop and saving money!

Its also a great way to bring your community together! All over the world people are hosting meetings where the community works with each other to fix broken items. These meetings are known as Repair Cafes. The goals are simple- to decrease waste, create a social cohesion and help increase repairing knowledge within the community.
