3rd Shift Fleet Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic

A local Fleet is looking for "C" Mechanic/ Fleet Mechanic on 3rd Shift. The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and qualifications.
The candidate must have general knowledge of the operation principles of diesel engines and associated components. Must be mechanically inclined and, with help, be able to make some essential diagnoses and repair all of the components of tractors, trailers, and dollies. Must be proficient in PM services, with an ability to spot and detect pending failures and problems. Must be familiar with 12V electrical systems and be able to perform basic repairs to these systems.
Should be computer literate and have some basic welding knowledge and ability. A/C certification and New York State Inspection certification are a plus. Must have own tools that are adequate for the tasks to be performed.

Hours for the role need to be flexible, anywhere from 9 pm -7 am
Starting Wage: $24 -$30, depending on experience + Shift Differential.

Part-Time Summer Bookstore Assistant [Application Deadline: Wednesday, July 1, 2026]

W.Whitman Books, located at 304 Main Street, Middleburgh, NY, is seeking a Part-Time Summer Assistant to work 15-20 hours per week during the months of July and August.

Duties include: organizing and shelving books, grading and pricing books; some cashier work; assisting with social media outreach. Ideal applicant will have an appreciation for the printed word; excellent organizational skills, and customer service experience.

Application is through the New York State FMS Workforce Solutions Summer Youth Employment Program. Eligibility is income based and applicant not more than 20 years old.

Salary is the current hourly minimum wage.
