SUNY Cobleskill - Agricultural Engineering Technology Department The Agricultural Engineering program at the State University of New York offers 3 programs - Agricultural Equipment Technology, BT. Power Machinery, AAS.

and Diesel Technology, AAS. Students learn on state of the art equipment in both lectures and labs. The Agricultural Engineering program prepares students for the industry, providing them with the knowledge in these highly technical areas. Students learn on state-of-the-art equipment provided by John Deere, New Holland and other agricultural equipment companies. The Agricultural Equipment Technolo

gy associate program trains students in marketing and servicing industrial and construction equipment. Students can choose from three tracks: Agricultural Power Machinery, John Deere Agricultural Technology or Power Machinery Technology. In the Diesel Technology associate program students develop the skills necessary for careers in today’s power market, which is almost exclusively diesel-fueled. In that program students can specialize in John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment. The Agricultural Equipment Technology bachelor’s program focuses on diagnostics of electrical and hydraulic systems, management skills and communication skill development. As part of the program students are prepared to complete internships in agricultural and industrial businesses.

Our Agricultural Power Machinery Associate Degree and our Agricultural Power Machinery John Deere Associate Degree was recently accredited by the Associated Equipment Distributors Foundation! This accreditation allows our students to become AED certified technicians!

The AED Foundation (AEDF) announced the accreditation of the Agricultural Power Machinery & John Deere TECH program at State University of New York at Cobleskill. This program is one of AEDF's flagship colleges and serves a wide region throughout the Northeast.

We are again hosting a CASE (Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education) Agricultural Equipment Maintenance and Technology (AEMT) Institute Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education this summer! SUNY Cobleskill will host a hybrid CASE Institute from July 15-19 in-person and July 22 - 24 virtual. Registration starts on January 5th! Come and join us this summer!

Ag Engineering students in Powetrains and Hydraulic Diagnostics got to learn from industry professionals at Anderson Equipment Company. They looked at hydrostatic health, learned the process to properly set up a hammer on an excavator, and learned about the Anderson Equipment Company. This was a great experience and we thank Anderson Equipment for helping our students!
