At Cobden Elementary, we use the Quaver curriculum during music class to help support social-emotional learning and reinforce the positive behaviors and character traits that are part of our schoolwide PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) plan.
One way we recognize students is through Quaver Coins! Students can earn coins for random acts of kindness and service, making good choices, showing good character, being a good friend, working hard, and demonstrating other positive behaviors throughout the school day.
Quaver Coins can be given by staff members anywhere in our school—not just in the classroom! Students may be recognized during special classes, lunch, recess, in the hallways, and throughout their day.
Students save their coins and use them to shop at our Quaver Store. Some rewards are small and can be purchased quickly, while other special items may take several weeks of saving. This gives students something fun to work toward while reinforcing the positive choices we want to see every day.
We would love your help refreshing our Quaver Store! We are accepting donations of new or gently used, clean items that our students would enjoy, as well as monetary donations that can be used to purchase new rewards.
Donations may be sent to the Elementary Office. Monetary donations are also welcome, and checks can be made payable to Cobden Elementary.
Any donation, big or small, helps us continue celebrating our students for their kindness, hard work, good character, and positive choices. We greatly appreciate your support of our students and our PBIS program!
