On August 7, CCIU representatives Connie Mollel, ELRC Family Engagement Specialist, and Cameron Natiello, PSE Family Engagement Specialist, attended Acclaim Autism's BBQ in West Chester. The event provided an opportunity to connect with community members, engage with prospective students and families, and network with local organizations that offer valuable support and resources to the CCIU community.

The Chester County Intermediate Unit is excited to partner with The Children's Treehouse Early Learning Center through the Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) program.

This partnership expands access to high-quality, low-cost early learning services for eligible children from six weeks to three years old while providing comprehensive support for families. Programs include educational and developmental screenings, nutritious meals, diapers, formula, physical and mental health services, and more.

Together, we're creating stronger foundations for our youngest learners and helping families access the resources they need to thrive.

Our Early Head Start Home-Based families had a wonderful time at this week's summer socialization at Ash Park in Coatesville! Families enjoyed water play activities, explored fun ways to stay active during the summer, and learned about the many developmental benefits of playing with water, including supporting sensory exploration, motor skills, creativity, and family bonding. Thank you to all the families who joined us for a fun-filled morning of learning, laughter, and summer memories! ☀️💦

This week our team is hosting an Early Education Summit for our providers and team members with a focus on supporting our littlest learners. All of this helps to ensure the highest quality services are being provided in our programs. It's summertime! The Parent Committee from the Early Discovery Center in West Chester hosted an incredibly fun summer event. Students and their parents enjoyed water play, face painting, and worked together to make watermelon paper fans. It was an absolute blast, and we look forward to the committee's next event!
