Utah parents and caregivers—we want your input!
Utah State University Extension is conducting a short survey about family screen use and routines. It takes about 15 minutes and is completely voluntary and confidential.
Participants can choose to enter a prize drawing to win one of three family activity bundles (choice of prize; approx. $200 value) after completing the survey.
If you are 18 years of age or older, reside in Utah, and are the parent or primary caregiver of at least one child age 5 to 18, you can take the survey here: https://usu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0kMQMjDltQjYYBM
If you know other parents or caregivers who may be interested, you are welcome to share this survey link with them.

Tapping In: How Snowpack Impacts Water Quantity and Quality - Tap In with us and learn about the future of water quality and quantity in our region. We'll hear from Darren Hess from Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, Sam Grenlie, a District Engineer from Mountain Regional Water, Trevor Clegg from Kamas City Water, and Julie Cobleigh from DEQ. Speakers will discuss how a low-snow year impacts our community’s water supply, and how water providers work to keep drinking water safe. Anyone interested in water, health, or the future of our county will walk away with a better understanding of what communities can do to prepare for the future.

Folks that attend the event can pick up water and energy conservation kits and enter an opportunity drawing for one of three rain barrels!

We are excited to announce that Summit County is partnering with the Utah Rivers Council this spring to bring our residents a limited number of heavily discounted American-made rain barrels as part of this RainHarvest program. We are excited to bring this successful program that encourages water conservation to our residents.
The RainHarvest program distributes rain barrels to Utah residents for the purpose of collecting rainwater that falls on rooftops for later use on landscaping and gardens. This program offers residents the opportunity to affordably conserve water through rainwater collection. By purchasing and completing the simple installation of these rain barrels, Utahns can reduce municipal water demand and improve the water quality of local streams, rivers, and lakes, by decreasing polluted runoff.
