Three years ago I started this journey as site leader to intentionally and strategically improve a department which I had been already a part of for 12 years. As principal, I created this vision board for Alternative Education at one of my first PDs three years ago. I am proud to say, through teamwork, blood, sweat, and tears, we have been able to check each of those boxes. All for the betterment of our students and the community, as a whole, to guide mindful, hardworking, and proud successful students. Our initial WASC visit for accreditation is today and we are READY!!!

We want to take a moment to express how incredibly proud we are of the Helping Hands Club of Chestnut High School!

This dedicated group of students consistently goes above and beyond, and we are truly amazed by all the incredible work they are doing to support and uplift our community. They are a shining example of kindness and service.

A huge, special shout-out and thank you must go to our Coalinga-Huron Unified School District Social Worker Marie Montemayor. Your effort, guidance, and commitment to helping these students bring their best to every project is truly inspiring. Thank you, Marie Montemayor, for fostering such a strong spirit of community service!
