Coal County 4-H youth recently returned from 4-H camp, where they developed connections with 4-Hers from neighboring counties, launched model rockets, and engaged in friendly competition with games like 9-square ball. Overall, it was great time! 🍀

A productive day unfolded for Coal County's competitors at the SE District 4-H Food Showdown in Murray County.

Junior team- Hope and Faith Latham placed 8th out of 12.
Senior team- Kirsten Haney, Jasmine Latham, and Natalie Shaw, attained 5th place out of 10.

Both teams showcased exceptional talent and perseverance! So very proud of them!🍀🥗

Hello 4‑H families! 🍀

We’re thrilled to announce our summer photo challenge! Each month, we’ll share a new theme right here on our page. Parents can then post their 4‑H member’s photo in the comments of that theme post along with the required details. Photos can be taken with a cell phone, a digital camera, or whatever you have available — use what works best for you!
After photos are submitted, open voting will begin, and entries will also be judged. Monthly winners will have their photos displayed at the Coal County Cooperative Extension Center. At the end of the challenge, one overall winner will be chosen and awarded a $100 cash prize at the Free Fair. 🎡

Another great meeting!🎄🍀

To help spread the Christmas spirit, our volunteers had our members write two Christmas cards each for the residents at our local nursing home! Members also decorated tiles to take home and gift to a family member for Christmas.

A thank you to our volunteers, Sheila Morgan and Shanna Eddings, for their time, dedication, and commitment to our members.
