Good afternoon this is Serena Starcher superintendent of Raleigh County Schools. Please listen to this full message for necessary information.

First, I am happy to report that Coal City Elementary School will open tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st.

Pre-K students originally scheduled to attend tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st, will attend as scheduled.
Pre-K students originally scheduled to attend today, Monday, August 31st, will attend Wednesday, September 2nd.
All pre K will begin attending Thursday, September 3rd.

We hope all students have a wonderful 1st day of school tomorrow. Again, we appreciate your patience during this time. I hope you have a great day. Thank you.

Environmental specialists and a professional cleaning service have been on site this week, and have provided input and support as we prepare to open Coal City Elementary School. While the school will remain closed Monday, August 31st, we believe we will be able to open early next week. Thank you for your patience.
