Valentine's Day Fun!❤️

01/21/2026

This week, our K-1-2 class learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his powerful message of hope, kindness, and equality. After learning about his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, students created their own hallway display sharing their dreams for the world.

Their words were thoughtful, honest, and full of hope…proof that even the smallest voices can dream big and have a positive impact on the world around them ❤️

Today Mr. Jay & Mr. Luke came to talk to the K-2 class about being a firefighter as part of our Community Helpers Unit!

We talked about fire prevention and fire safety, we watched Mr. Luke put on his turn out gear and he explained what each piece does to protect him, we even heard him talk with his SCBA mask to know what it would sound like if a firefighter was searching for you!

Then we headed outside to learn about the tools that are on the Engine and each child got a chance to sit in the Officers seat!

We even got some important homework to go over:

1. Have a family discussion about where your meeting spot would be in the event of a fire or other emergency that causes you to have to evacuate your house

2. Work on memorizing your address or phone number in case you need to provide that information to a 911 operator!

Thank you to Mr. Jay & Mr. Luke for visiting us!

We will open at 9:00.
Be safe!
Please let us know via classdojo if you will be keeping your children home. Also, just a reminder, due to regulations, we are we are unable to take in school age students during virtual learning days. Thank you!

🎵🇺🇸 Our K-1-2 students spent the last few weeks hard at work in music class learning a special song to honor our veterans! Today, we celebrate Veterans Day by sharing our song with you and showing our gratitude for the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served.
Thank you to all veterans for your service! 💛👏

(We do not claim to own the writes to the song or music, original post is credited at the begining of the slideshow ☺️)
