3 takeoff pro tips for grass strips

1. Use soft-field technique: keep the yoke light, let the nose wheel come up early, and allow the aircraft to lift off in ground effect.

2. Build speed patiently: grass adds drag, so don’t rush rotation. Let the airplane fly itself off when it’s ready.

3. Know your surface and performance: wet or uneven grass increases roll distance, so always calculate performance and walk the strip when possible
