👀Feel-Good-Friday Post!🤍

Exciting milestone: Max White, a junior at Clymer, has been selected for Cornell CALS DAIRY LEADER program (September 2026–August 2027). The Junior DAIRY LEADER is a leadership and career-exploration program for youth ages 16–19 that blends hands-on workshops, farm visits, guest speakers, and industry networking. During the program Max presented in a Shark Tank-style competition, toured commercial farms, and attended the 70th National Dairy 4‑H Conference and World Dairy Expo — experiences that build professional skills and clarify pathways into dairy careers and education.

👍Congratulations, Max — a strong step toward leadership in the dairy industry! We are so proud of you!

The food service team at Clymer Central School brings hard work, creativity, and a genuine commitment to students to everything they do! ❤️

From planning menus and preparing nutritious meals to finding ways to make healthy foods appealing to students, this team works hard every day to make school meals a positive part of the school experience. They take pride in what they serve and in the important role they play in supporting students’ health, learning, and well-being.

👏 There’s also special recognition for Sue Watrous, who serves as Food Service Director at both Clymer Central School and Sherman Central School! Sue received two Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Awards from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and Action for Healthy Kids for her work to improve school nutrition:

🏆 Lunch Trailblazer Small/Rural School Award — recognizing efforts to improve the nutritional quality of school lunches, meet weekly sodium guidelines, and engage students in nutrition education.

🏆 Innovation in Nutrition Education Award — recognizing nutrition education activities that involve students in the cafeteria, classroom, and community.

Congratulations to Sue and the entire Clymer food service team! Your dedication to nutritious meals, creative ideas, and healthy habits makes a difference for students every day. Thank you for all you do! 💚

🎉 Ahoy, Clymer Pirates! 🎉
We were so proud to showcase several elementary students who demonstrated their best "Pirate Behavior" — and yes, our pirates mean respectful, responsible, and safe! Students in grades Pre-K through four, earn individual tickets for positive actions and can pick a small prize. Today we celebrated our first BIG prize winners, whose tickets were randomly drawn from the tickets submitted:
• 1st grade — Ethan Troupe
• 2nd grade — Aries Cooley
• 4th grade — Luke DePaul
• 5th grade — Teagan Wallace
• 6th grade — Macklin Bennink & Josiah Martin

Keep up the amazing work, Pirates! 👏🏴‍☠️

Did someone say hands-on learning? 🚒👨‍🚒 Last week, our Clymer students (Pre-K through 4th grade) had an amazing visit from our local fire department. Students watched firefighters in full gear, explored an ambulance (and pretended to ride in it!), and even got a turn using the fire hose. What a memorable way to learn important fire safety tips! Huge thanks to our brave local crew at the Clymer Volunteer Fire Company ! 👏🔥🧯
