Good morning Saints, it’s been awhile since I posted anything. We have witnessed many changes in our own lives and in our own country. Someone has said; “The only thing that is here to stay is change”! As I get older I find I’m a little less flexible on the other hand I’m a little less surprised.
There have been reports of hostility towards believers. I haven’t experienced anything myself, but hostility towards believers is nothing new. We may seem like an easy target. Christians are not given to violence and retribution, so we may appear to be harmless sheep. You may feel that you are living in perilous times, but I find that it’s good to remember to whom you belong. You are the Bride of someone very special.
Act 9:1 Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; 4 and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" 5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,....notice Jesus’ reaction to Saul’s actions against believers. Jesus could have said why are you persecuting my believers, but He said “why are you persecuting me”? Jesus takes it very personally when we are being troubled and persecuted. We are members of His Body.
I find it amazing How the persecutor became a great Apostle of Christ. Remember, our God is the author of great change. His change always brings blessings to His Bride. Amen
