This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Junior Jason Brooks, who brings some serious saxophone style to the Mighty Bulldog Band! 🎶

With 2½ years of band experience, Jason proudly plays the Tenor Saxophone! 🎷

🏈 What’s his favorite part of band? Taking the field under those Friday night lights and performing the halftime show, along with getting to show off all that hard work at marching competitions! There’s nothing quite like that Bulldog pride! 🖤💛

🏆 BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT! Jason qualified for Solo and Ensemble! That’s an achievement worth celebrating, and we’re proud of his dedication!

🌏 FUN FACT: Did you know Jason was born in JAPAN?! 🇯🇵 How cool is that?! A little international flair right here in Bulldog Country!

TURN UP THE VOLUME, BULLDOG NATION! 📣🐾

This week, we’re putting the spotlight on Sophomore Riley Taylor, who knows a thing or two about bringing the BOOM to the Mighty Bulldog Band! 💥🥁

With 6 YEARS of band experience, Riley proudly plays Bass Drum #3 (22 inches), and when asked about the favorite part of band, the answer was simple: Playing one of the LOUDEST instruments! 🔊😂

🏆 Let’s talk accomplishments! Riley helped take the Bulldogs to STATE last year AND earned a spot in the All-Region Band! Now THAT deserves a round of applause! 👏👏

🎶 FUN FACT: Riley can tap out a beat on ANY surface, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME! We’re guessing there’s never a quiet moment when Riley’s around! 😂🥁

Before you head to Shotwell, here are a few IMPORTANT things to know:

💳 SHOTWELL STADIUM IS CASHLESS!

Please plan accordingly! Only credit and debit card payments will be accepted. Cash will not be accepted inside the stadium.

🛍️ REGION MERCHANDISE WILL BE AVAILABLE!

There will also be items available for purchase at the competition, including Region patches for letterman jackets, T-shirts, apparel, and other merchandise. If your band student likes to collect competition patches or you want a Region keepsake, be sure to check out the merchandise while you’re there!

🎒 CLEAR BAG POLICY

Shotwell Stadium has a clear bag policy. Approved bags include:

• Clear waist/belt bags
