Another tragic school shooting.
This time in Georgia.
A 14 year old young man.
What is equally tragic is our society’s insatiable need to publicly identify these active killers.
The dead hadn’t even been removed from the school before the Sheriff publicly identified the shooter. His face and name were plastered all over media the next day.
Numerous studies on active shooters show us that these deviants idolize past killers and meticulously study their shootings.
This young man in Georgia has already indicated a fascination for the Parkland Florida school shooter.
I wish we would completely black out any reference or identity of these killers and deny them the recognition and infamy they so desperately desire.
My fear is in another five years there will be another young person “inspired” by this Georgian teen. And the cycle will continue.

I want to thank the Clyde Career Women for inviting me to speak at their meeting last night. We discussed many ways to avoid being physically victimized in public.
We had such a great time the scheduled 20 minute presentation quickly ran over 40 minutes.
