Yesterday, we welcomed junior high and high school students and families to our Clyde Hill campus for new student orientation. The evening was full of excitement as everyone shared in anticipation for the upcoming school year. Students and parents had the opportunity to meet teachers, explore buildings to find their new classrooms, and connect with friends. We can't wait to kick off the school year!

Athletes at Bellevue Christian understand the value of hard work and grit, and with summer training in full swing, their commitment to growth is remarkable. We wanted to take a moment to recognize our track and field athletes who placed at the State Championship this past spring, and celebrate the results of their time, energy, and perseverance. At BCS, learning extends beyond the classroom! Every year, our fourth-grade students create handmade products, develop business plans, and open up shop for parents and peers alike to purchase their goods in the annual Marketplace event. All proceeds go to a nonprofit voted on by the students. This spring, they donated to Africa New Life, providing meals for students in Rwanda! Classroom lessons are enhanced through hands-on learning that builds knowledge and confidence in students while making a positive impact on the community.

This week we hosted our summer basketball camps led by Athletic Director, Mark DeJonge, and Boys Varsity Basketball coach, Shawn Skogstad. Throughout the week, elementary and junior high students were coached by high school Bellevue Christian athletes, as they grew in their understanding of teamwork, grit, and sportsmanship. We are excited to see our volleyball and cheerleading camps bring the energy next week!
