Law Students for Community Advancement's (LSCA) primary mission is to invigorate a culture of engagement at San Joaquin College of Law (SJCL) and empower the student body by facilitating positive and impactful relationships with our community. We believe that as law students and future legal professionals, we have a duty to advocate for social justice and equality before the law. Through advocacy, education, and outreach, our members work tirelessly to contribute their part to the greater good.

Join on Thursday, August 27th, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm PST for Voices for Justice: Standing for Black Lives, presented by Root & Rebound and BAMBDFEST: 2020.

"Voices for Justice: Standing for Black Lives is an act of solidarity and personal responsibility. We believe that all organizations and individuals who care about creating racial equity and change within the criminal justice ecosystem must act. The time is now."

“This generation has the capacity to shift our trajectory; if we recognize the ways we disempower youth in schools, community and our homes... Now is the time to center our youth who are too often pushed to the margins of society, so that Black lives matter before death.”

Cece Jordan is an artivist and educator with nearly a decade of experience integrating culturally relevant pedagogy and restorative justice practices in classrooms of all ages. Here's a peek at the award-winning slam poet in action: http://ow.ly/YpMq50B1UGG
