As Chief Resident of the Family Medicine Residency Program at UCSF Fresno, Dr. Monazzami continues to embody CHSU’s mission of improving health care outcomes in the Central Valley through her dedication, leadership, and service.
Founded by Dr. Sergio D. Ilic, the San Joaquin Valley Medical Scholarship Foundation provides financial support to primary care physicians who commit to remaining in the Valley and serving underserved communities.

Through CHSU's Early Acceptance Program with Fresno State, eligible sophomores and juniors can earn early acceptance into medical school, giving them the opportunity to secure their future before completing their undergraduate degree.
