DON'T LET YOUR CCW EXPIRE!

This is a statewide issue with the 90-day grace period. Once you have eclipsed this window, you will need to start over as a 16-hour CCW initial student/applicant.

We are now sending out renewal reminder emails to our students who have gone through our online course and completed their process with us. You will receive an email in your inbox well before you hit your 2-year expiration so that you don't fall into pitfall.

🚨 DON'T LET YOUR CCW PERMIT EXPIRE 🚨

Important state-mandated CCW changes are taking effect in 2026:

📅 Effective January 1, 2026
• Permits expired more than 90 days can no longer be renewed.
• A new CCW application and 16-hour training course will be required.

📅 Effective September 1, 2026
• All renewals will require new Live Scan fingerprints.
• California DOJ approval will be required prior to issuance.

To help permit holders stay compliant, TCSO now allows renewals up to 60 days before expiration and will send reminder notices at 60 and 30 days before your permit expires.

Working on some new CCW content in our studio today

We have just launched a new enhancement to our online CCW program.

Any student who has signed up and taken an online CCW course through any of our active affiliates will now receive an automated email when it is time to take your renewal course. Pretty cool, right!

No more forgetting and letting your CCW lapse. We will worry for you and let you know when that time comes back around. It tends to sneak up on folks and we see them forget often.
