CCC Choral Festival held March 5-7, 2026, at Monterey Bay Academy. Festival Clinician was Gennevieve Brown-Kibble. Seven schools in CCC participated, with grades 9-12, and formed a 178-member choir.

With profound sorrow, Rio Lindo Adventist Academy and the Northern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists confirm that a student passed away during a campus activity on August 28. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by staff and first responders, the student could not be revived.
In keeping with protocol, we are cooperating with the sheriff’s department and supporting the student’s guardian and family. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we are not sharing further details at this time.
Currently, our priority is caring for students, staff, and the family. Counselors, pastors, and chaplains are on campus and will remain available in the days ahead to support our Rio community. Faculty have been briefed on how to assist students, and families are encouraged to check in with their children and contact the school office if they need additional care.
Prayers for our Rio community are crucial right now. We appreciate all the expressions of support and the many prayers. We understand how this may impact the broader community, and we encourage you to hug your children and let them know they are safe and loved.
