gifted students (Grades 3-5).

Part 2-Australian Walkabout

On April 13th, Mrs. Embry and Mrs. Cliburn had the pleasure of exploring Kentucky Down Under with 13 of
Cloverport Independent School’s
gifted students (Grades 3-5). Their day was action-packed and highlights included:
*a private cave tour of Mammoth Onyx Cave led by field biologist and CISD Alum, James Cliburn

*a walkabout with loads of red and Eastern Grey kangaroos, albino wallabies, and emus to feed and pet (the kangaroos have super soft fur especially the joeys)

*an animal show featuring a feisty, 10 week old serval; an attention-seeking, white, umbrella cockatoo; and a chill, woma python

Let’s just say, they were all WILD about the experience and cannot wait to go back again!!
