Our families are traveling On the Road to Leadership!

Thank you to the 44 families who participated in our Family Mission Statement Challenge! Creating a family mission statement is a wonderful way to decide what matters most and how your family will live, learn, and grow together.

We entered all participating families into a random name selector, and our winner was… the Fowler family! Congratulations to Colton Fowler in Mrs. Plemmons’ class and his family! They won a family game night basket to enjoy together!

There’s still time to join in! The form will remain open for any family who would like to submit their family mission statement. Be on the lookout for our next monthly challenge coming soon!

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful custodians and cafeteria staff! Your hard work keeps our school clean, welcoming, and ready for learning and our students nourished and ready for the day. We appreciate all you do!

This morning, our Hospitality Committee hosted our annual Custodian and Café Staff Appreciation Breakfast to say thank you from all of us! A special shout-out to our 2nd and 5th grade teams for creating banners and writing heartfelt letters of appreciation, and to our PTO for treating these amazing staff members to pizza for lunch today, too!

We are so grateful to have you as part of our school family!

LAST CALL, LARNE FAMILIES!

Have you submitted your Family Mission Statement yet?

Creating a Family Mission Statement gives your family a chance to talk about what matters most, the kind of family you want to be, and how you want to support one another. It also helps our students see how the Leader in Me habits they are learning at school can be used at home and in everyday life.

And there’s a prize! Every family who submits a mission statement will be entered into a drawing to win a Family Game Night Gift Basket! 🎲🍿

Due Wednesday, September 30!

Take a few minutes to talk, dream, and create a mission statement that represents YOUR family!

We’re excited to celebrate the wonderful work completed at Larne by Cub Scout Pack 1280 which included many of our own Larne students!

The Scouts generously gave their time and energy to clean up our outdoor classroom, mow the field, trim low-hanging limbs, and clear our trails. Our fourth- and fifth-grade Scouts even created a brand-new trail that branches from the path near the sediment pond and loops back to the main trail!

Check out the before-and-after photos to see the incredible difference their hard work made. We are especially proud to see our students demonstrating leadership by caring for their school and community.

A huge thank you to Bud Fox, Cub Scout Pack 1280, and all of our Larne Scouts for this wonderful act of service! What an amazing example of leadership in action!

What a special morning! Our school was filled with smiles, hugs, laughter, and lots of love as our students welcomed their grandparents for breakfast.

We are so thankful for the special role grandparents play in the lives of our students. Thank you for spending your morning with us and making it one to remember.
